Nuestra Música: HIDDEN GEMS (Audio)

Today we are presenting “Hidden Gems”, music from the Latinx song book that has not been broadcast previously in our show.

First we are Vicente Amigo from Spain, and his Flamenco guitar and the song Roma, after that Jaime Llano Gonzalez from Colombia and the song Cachipay, followed by Orquesta Tipica Misteriosa from Argentina and the song Raros Peinados Nuevos.  The show will also feature the following artists and songs

Maestro Daniel Baremboim with Rodolfo Mederos in Bandoneon from the album "Piazolla et al", and Piazolla’s "Estaciones Portenas Invierno", followed by Peruvian Los Koyas playing their native Andean Flute and the song "Virgenes del Sol" and  a tango performed by Armando Moreno and the song titled "Mis Harapos". From Chile Los Cuatro de Chile and the song "Para que no me olvides" ; three songs from Argentina, first Ginamaria Hidalgo and "Concierto para una Voz", Anibal Arias and "Silbando", and Sexteto Visceral with a potpourri of tangos and milongas.  Los Medicos and "No digas la palabra adios", from Cataluna Raimon and "Al Vent: in Catalan, and the choral group Orfeon Santiago from Cuba and Dulce Embeleso.  Deodato from Brazil will brings us his version or Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" and finally Tomatio with a Flamenco guitar and "Alquimia"

“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more.
