Jammel Cutler reports for Columbia-Greene Media that some renters in Hudson are getting a break as Section 8 housing vouchers have been increased to 120 percent as of March 1. In the city, the Hudson Housing Authority will cover a larger percentage of rent with the vouchers. Authority Executive Director Jeffrey Dodson said at the Authority’s recent board of directors meeting, “Housing vouchers are highly effective at reducing homelessness, housing instability and overcrowding and at improving other outcomes for families.
