Former CO at Greene Correctional accused of falsifying records

Bill Williams is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media a former officer at Greene Correctional Facility was charged October 15, with multiple felonies for allegedly falsifying reports while he was employed at the facility, State Police Troop K Public Information Officer Steven Nevel said. The man allegedly fabricated a report following an altercation between two men imprisoned at the facility. Mark Schomer-Dodd, 25, of Selkirk, was charged with offering a false instrument, falsifying business records and tampering with physical evidence, all class felonies, as well as official misconduct, a misdemeanor, Nevel said. Schomer-Dodd resigned from state service in July, said Rachel Connors, deputy director of public information with the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Schomer-Dodd was issued tickets to appear in Coxsackie Town Court on Nov. 2, Nevel said.
