Oct 11, 2016 12:03 am

Debby Mayer is reporting in The Columbia Paper Germantown Town Supervisor Joel Craig will present the the town's preliminary 2017 budget at the first of two public workshops on Tue., Oct. 11. The board has already reviewed department requests, and made a plan for how to move forward. The town’s tax cap this year is 0.6 percent, well below the state-mandated two percent ceiling. “I don’t have the actual dollar calculation from the state yet, but as you can see it means virtually no tax increase,” Craig told the paper. The second workshop will be held Oct. 18, and the public hearing is scheduled for Tue., Oct. 25, immediately before the regular Town Board meeting. Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
