Apr 08, 2013
Hosted by Sara Kendall.
Chris Bowser is an environmental scientist and educator at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Hudson Estuary Program, and at the National Estuary Research Reserve. He leads the Hudson River Eel Project, a citizen science initiative in which volunteers collect data that is used in the research of the American eel, a mysterious fish that migrates into the Hudson River from the Atlantic Ocean each spring. Data is being gathered at 12 stream locations along the Hudson River from Staten Island to New Baltimore; one site is at the Hannacroix Creek in Coeymans.
