Daniel Zuckerman reports in Columbia-Greene Media that state police showed off their radio-controlled drones at Troop F headquarters in Middletown Jan. 23. Police plan on using their drones for disaster response and traffic safety. “It will save us time at accident scenes,” state police Senior Investigator Pete Kusminsky said. Troop F covers Greene, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, and Ulster counties. In April, state police are getting 14 more radio-controlled drones to be deployed throughout the state.
