Courtney Ward reports for News10 that Amtrak has temporarily shut down its Adirondack route to Montreal because of the Canadian wild fires. Amtrak’s rail partner, Canadian National, has reduced speed on the rail because of the heat from the ongoing wildfires. All stops north of Albany on the line from Montreal to New York City are currently closed for service. Amtrak only resumed the service there less than three months ago, after it was closed during much of the COVID-19 pandemic. Read more about this story at the News10 website.
