Barbara Reina reports in the Register Star a new business may soon be moving into the former Walmart building at 315 Fairview Ave. in Greenport. Premier Riverview, a Mount Vernon-based company, is expected purchase the building in February. A warehouse operation of Premier Brands of America will move into the back of the building sometime the following spring. The company is expected to create 25 local jobs in its first year of operation. Premier will make the retail space in the front of the building available for lease.
