COVID-19 testing expanded at three Berkshire locations

WNYT-TV in Albany is reporting the commonwealth of Massachusetts is expanding free COVID-19 testing at three sites in the Berkshires. According to a report in The Berkshire Eagle, sites in Great Barrington, Pittsfield and North Adams have been designated "Stop the Spread" centers. The sites are open for people who wish to be tested for any reason, at no cost. Berkshire Health Systems says they are planning on 1,000 additional tests each week at all three of the testing sites. Gov. Charlie Baker has announced that starting Friday, hospitals across Massachusetts will limit elective procedures in order to free up bed space and staff.
