Tax bills going out late from some school districts
Sep 17, 2018 12:45 am
Audrey Matott is reporting for the Greenville Pioneer several area school districts have sent their tax bills out late as the result of a delay caused by a billing vendor. In Greene County, the Greenville, Cairo-Durham and Coxsackie-Athens school districts have been delayed and have issued a notice from their school tax collectors. According to the notice, those tax bills are expected to be sent out within the first two weeks of September, rather than late August, and the period for payment without penalty has been extended. Taxpayers in the Greenville and Cairo-Durham districts are able to pay without penalty until October 10. Billing for property owners located in the Catskill, Hunter-Tannersville and Windham-Ashland-Jewett districts has not been effected. Read the full story in the Greenville Pioneer.
