May 27, 2013 7:02 am
The Daily Mail is reporting the first five of 19 new trees to be planted as part of the Catskill Main Street Memorial Tree Program were placed on Main Street earlier this month. The trees were all planted by Story's Nursery in Freehold. Each tree is sponsored by an individual or business. Hudson Talbott, one of the organizers, said the trees will be planted in batches of five. The next group will likely be planted in July. The Main Street Trees program is part of the ongoing Cultivate Catskill beautification initiative. Read the full story in The Daily Mail. NOTE: Talbott is a member of the WGXC Community Council.
