Katie Kocijanski and Greg Hudson are reporting for Columbia-Greene Media Columbia Memorial Health announced Wed., Sept. 14, the Greene Medical Arts Center in Catskill will undergo a four [point] two million dollar renovation in the coming months. Columbia Memorial press director William Van Slyke said the renovations are part of a larger renovation plan that began when the building was purchased in 2013. Van Slyke said a majority of the work to be undertaken will be structural, but there will be an investment in digital infrastructure, as well. Columbia Memorial Health CEO Jay P. Cahalan said earlier this year the health care provider has invested more than $62 million in facilities and equipment since 2008. Van Slyke said this new renovation project will see the hospital’s investment in Greene Medical Arts Center surpass $20 million. He said the investment will make for a more efficient facility, and a "...more efficient facility means more patients receive the care they need. That’s always the goal for the hospital and all the facilities we operate." Read the full story in both the Register-Star and The Daily Mail.
