McLaughlin brings on Gordon for Rensselaer County position

Nicholas Buonanno writes in The Troy Record that Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin announced the hiring James Gordon as Rensselaer County’s new director of central services Jan. 23. Gordon is a former Troy city councilperson and mayoral candidate, was announced Tuesday as Rensselaer County’s new director of central services. For the past two years Gordon was operations manager at the Rensselaer County Highway Department, and also was the county’s STOP-DWI coordinator. Before that, Gordon had one term on the Troy City Council but left in October 2015 after a recording of a 9-1-1 call from Gordon’s wife, Melissa, reporting an alleged domestic incident at their home, was given to the media.
