Catskill Town Board OKs three-year fire contract

Jim Planck is reporting in The Daily Mail the Catskill Town Board has approved a new three-year contract between the Village of Catskill and the Catskill Fire Department for fire protection services. The village is expected to approve the contract at its next meeting. No comment was offered during the public hearing on the contract, held Wed., Oct. 16 in Leeds. Catskill Town Supervisor Joseph Leggio said with the exception of the cost and a termination clause, the agreement remains unchanged from previous years. The contract is effective Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2016, and provides for an annual increase of 1.66 percent each year. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
