Officials hold secret meeting

Michael Ryan in The Windham Journal reports how the media was not allowed at a meeting Oct. 24 to discuss the possible repair or replacement of the Route 23 bridge in Prattsville. New York State Department of Transportation officials, Assemblyman Pete Lopez, Prattsville Town Supervisor Kory O’Hara, State Senator Cecilia Tkaczyk, Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District Executive Director Jeff Flack, and Prattsville Development Corporation chairman Kevin Piccoli met about the bridge Oct. 24 in private. Diane Lombardi, DOT Director of the Office of External Relations, forced the media to leave, Ryan writes, "despite appeals from Lopez, O’Hara, and Piccoli for the press to be allowed to stay."
