In this special pledge drive broadcast, WGXC’s program focused on new and unusual music will feature new music released in 2020. Host Rob Saffer will play a collection of jazz including music by Gordon Grdina, Jeff Parker, Chris Pitsiokos, Jim Black, Tim Berne, and Alex Goodman; international music by Hailu Mergia, Giorgi Mikadze, Evritiki Zygia; and some experimental rock by OOIOO, Mute Duo and much more.

After the local news at noon, “Overlooked” is a show focusing on overlooked and under-heard jazz, improvisational, and other fringe music, from early roots to contemporary experiments, a mix of familiar to rare, classic to weird.
