Today we are presenting From Tango to Flamenco the art of Harmonizing in between, mostly “a Capella” work some with some instrumental, these are the voices of the Latinx Songbook.

We will start with Cuarteto Zupay and a piece written by the great Jorge Luis Borges with music by Astor Piazzola titled “Jacinto Chiclana”, after that from Cuba Vocal Vidas, and Orfeón Santiago, from Portugal Sete Lagrimas, from Argentina Buenos Aires Ocho, from Spain the Latin Baroque ensemble Rumabarroco, Vocal Sampling from Cuba, Orfeon Universitario from Venezuela, also from Venezuela Orfeon Universitario del Los Andes, Coro Entrevoces from Cuba, and finally from Cuba as well the Schola Cantorum Coralina.

“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more.
