People who love to categorize will twist themselves into knots trying to put this music in a box. Maybe it's ambient?  The default setting is "jazz". We'll hear pieces by Robert Wyatt, Pierre Bastien, Miles Davis, Gyorgy Ligeti, and Carla Bley. 

 On "Playing Favorites," formerly called "The Morning Sampler," host Brendan Donegan plays an eclectic mix of old and new blues, electronica, pop, RnB, country, Latin, rock, rap, and a bit of classical music live from WGXC's Catskill studio.
