Hudson FD to acquire new pumper

John Mason reports in the Register Star the city of Hudson Fire Department is one step closer to acquiring a new pumper truck following the Common Council Fire Committee's recent decision to green light the $500,000 purchase. The new truck will replace a KME pumper the city purchased in 1993, and it will be assigned to the J.W. Hoysradt Co. The purchase is a planned replacement, according to Common Council President Don Moore. A regular rotation of trucks was started in 2006, in which trucks are chosen to be replaced based on age and level of repairs. Read the full story in the Register Star.
