Winter Storm Watch everywhere; snow emergency in Catskill, Greenport

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Storm Watch from 7 a.m., Feb. 7, through 4 a.m., Feb. 8. Three to seven inches of snow is expected on Feb. 7. The Village of Catskill has issued a snow emerrgency for Feb. 7 because of the forecast of snow. Beginning at 8 a.m. Feb. 7, all vehicles need to be parked on the even side of the street until 8 p.m. Then vehicles need to be parked on the odd side of Village streets until 8 a.m. the next day, with the parking continuing to alternate every 12 hours, until the snow emergency has been called off. Greenport has also designated a snow emergency for the entire day Feb. 7, with no parking on streets. All vehicles will be ticketed and towed in Greenport.
