Bard names director of Center for the Study of Hate

The Daily Freeman is reporting Bard College has named Kenneth S. Stern director of its newly established Center for the Study of Hate. Stern is an attorney and author, and an expert on hatred and antisemitism. He served most recently as the executive director of the Justus and Karin Rosenberg Foundation. Stern has testified before Congress, been an invited presenter at the White House Conference on Hate Crimes and argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the recipient of Bard’s John Dewey Award for Distinguished Public Service. The Bard Center for the Study of Hate will support faculty and students throughout the school’s network who want to study and combat hatred and its various manifestations.
