Columbia County reports record of new COVID-19 cases

Columbia County broke its own record that it set twice in the past week, announcing 23 new COVID-19 cases on Dec. 16. Greene County announced 15 new coronavirus cases Dec. 16. Greene County also says it has identified eight sites in the county where vaccination clinics will take place, but is not saying where they are. "Additionally, other healthcare providers and pharmacies will also be administering the vaccine once it arrives," Greene County officials wrote on a social media website Dec. 16. Currently Cairo-Durham, Hunter-Tannersville, Catskill, and Windham-Ashland-Jewett schools are now all-remote until next year. Albany County also reported 205 cases new coronavirus cases Dec. 17. There were 119 cases of COVID-19 confirmed by the Rensselaer County Health Department on Dec. 16. Rensselaer County also announced the death of two residents, an 82-year-old woman at Eddy Heritage House in Troy and a 90-year-old man from Riverside Center in Schodack.
