Too cold for COARC Polar Plunge
Feb 11, 2015 12:02 am
For the second year in a row, the winter is too cold for COARC's annual Polar Plunge fundraiser Feb. 21. The annual event involves folks pledging to those who dare jump in Copake's Upper Rhoda Pond at Camp Mahican to help those with disabilities. "The Board’s Fundraising committee has decided to cancel this year’s Polar Plunge due to extreme weather conditions. The amount of ice and snow this year has made preparation of the site impossible," a note on COARC's website said. Computer donations should be credited automatically, and cash or check donations, can be refunded by calling 518-672-4451.
