"Catastrophic" fire at historic Philmont house

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="360" caption="Photo by Lance Wheeler from ColumbiaPage."][/caption]The house of Friends of Hudson President Christopher Reed and herbalist Jean Giblette, at 59 Main St. in Philmont, was damaged by fire Wednesday, though friends report the couple is fine and receiving all sorts of aid from the "catastrophic" disaster. The home, built in 1867, is completely smoke-damaged and soaked, and the second floor at the front of the house is burned away.
