Faso approves of Trump SCOTUS pick

Feb 01, 2017 5:30 am

U.S. Rep. John Faso (R-Kinderhook) said he agreed with Donald Trump on his choice, Tue., Jan. 31, of Neil Gorsuch to fill the open seat on the U.S. Supreme Court. Justice Antonin Scalia died in February 2016, and Barack Obama nominated Merrick Garland. The Republican-led U.S. Senate refused to consider the nomination, instead leaving the seat unfilled for a year, making the political bet that a Republican would win the presidency. Faso is a member of the House of Representatives, and has no say in Gorsuch's confirmation. (PLAY :25 AUDIO CLIP ABOVE)
