Hochul picks up two major labor endorsements
Nick Reisman is reporting for State of Politics two major labor unions have endorsed Gov. Kathy Hochul's 2022 campaign for a full term. She has received the nod from the United Steelworkers and the Hotel Trades Council way in advance of the June Democratic primary. Combined, both labor groups have thousands of members statewide and have been politically active organizations. “I am incredibly grateful to receive this endorsement from the men and women of the United Steelworkers,” Hochul said in a statement on December 17. “...I will always stand in solidarity with the labor movement and fight to make sure working families receive the wages, benefits and workplace protections they deserve.” Other candidates for the Democratic nomination next year include U.S. Rep.
