Rider drops out of Ulster Co. executive race

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting Deputy Ulster County Executive Marc Rider has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Democratic Party nomination for county executive and thrown his support to Patrick Ryan. Rider said he will continue to work in the county executive’s office and join Ryan’s team. Rider said that Ryan “is the best choice to continue the great work that has taken place over the last decade." He called Ryan “a progressive who has put his money where his mouth is. The company he founded offered paid family leave that is necessary to do the job. He grew his company to over 150 employees, and he has the real management skills necessary to lead the workforce of over 1,350 employees that I know and work for.” Read the full story at MidHudsonNews [dot] com.
