The bill, announced last week, would provide grants and low-interest loans to help dairy farmers invest in renewable technologies like solar and wind. Tkaczyk said in a statement, Fri., May 31, “Investing in energy efficient upgrades can help dairy farmers reduce their costs as well as their carbon footprint." In New York, dairy is an $8.9 billion business, generating more than $400 million in annual wages statewide.
