New fund available for Germantown businesses

Apr 24, 2020 2:15 pm
The Columbia Paper is reporting the Germantown Town Board has announced that financial support is now available for Germantown business owners from the Germantown Business Recovery Fund. The board made the announcement in conjunction with the town's Economic Development Advisory Committee and with the administrative support of the Columbia Economic Development Corporation. The recover fund provides eligible Germantown businesses with cash grants. The criteria to qualify for this fund is different from what is required for the countywide fund, and "was designed to be more inclusive of the diversity of Germantown’s businesses." Those businesses not eligible for the countywide fund have a good chance of being eligible for the Germantown fund. Applications are due by May 1 at 4 p.m. Information about the program as well as the application can be found at the Choose Columbia website.
