Spectrum News is reporting Albany International Airport will now offer COVID-19 saliva tests for its employees. The announcement was made December 6. Testing is voluntary and is provided at no cost to airport workers. It should be available to passengers by the end of the month. The test was created by SUNY Upstate Medical University, which will process the tests. Travelers will be given a kit and can submit to the test either at the airport or at home and then mail it in. The turnaround time is about 48 hours, and only takes around 15 seconds to take. "We will pick up people on the first, second and third day of the infection rather than day five when the virus is at a higher level, so that’s very important...,” said Dr. Mantosh Dewan, president of SUNY Upstate Medical University. The test will cost between $30 and $60 for travelers. Read the full story at spectrumlocalnews [dot] com.
