John Mason is reporting in the Register-Star the Wick Hotel at 41 Cross St. in Hudson, could be completed as early as the spring 2017. Redburn Development received its final approval for 40,800-square-foot, 55-room boutique hotel from the Columbia County Industrial Development Agency late last month. A closing is planned for the end of this month, and the interior demolition is scheduled to begin in August, with construction to start in September. The city Industrial Development Agency approved Redburn’s request for a 10-year payment in lieu of taxes agreement with the condition that the county IDA agree to administer it. Redburn will do the demolition and asbestos removal, and the building will then be handed over to a yet to be chosen construction company. The hotel will be owned by Redburn Development of Troy, and managed by Prestige Hospitality Group of Albany. Read the full story in the Register-Star.
