Jimmy Vielkind in the Albany Times-Union reports that State Senate Republicans have a cash advantage of nearly five to one as they try to hold their slight majority later this year. The Senate Republican Campaign Committee has $4,914,003.82, compared with $305,556.71 for the Democrats. The New York Public Research Interest Group combined those central campaign committees with the accounts of individual candidates, subtracted debt, and pegged the GOP edge at $15,041,583.91 to $3,226,155.62.
