Mid-Hudson News reports that the first major local snowfall of the year took a life in Greene County. A 50-year-old man was killed early Dec. 12 while plowing snow at the Essendant Distribution Center on Route 9W in Coxsackie. Lamont Jackson of Catskill's plow collided with a stationary box trailer and caught fire, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.
