Columbia-Greene Media is reporting a coach at the Taconic Hills Central School District has been charged with failing to report suspected child abuse, according to police. Scott Kraft, 55, of Hillsdale, was recently arrested and charged with failure to report child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, according to a statement from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. As an employee of the school district, Kraft is required by law to report suspected child abuse to the authorities. The investigation was initiated March 26, by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit, and Kraft was arrested two days later.
