Jan 16, 2020 12:46 am
The Times Union reports that there have been 10,000 reported cases of the flu in New York as of Jan. 4, many more than the 3,000 reported at this point in 2017. Almost 2,000 New Yorkers were hospitalized with influenza in the first week of the year, up 34 percent from the end of 2019. Officials called the flu "prevalent" in December, and healthcare workers who are not vaccinated must now wear surgical or procedure masks at work. Read more about this story in the Times Union.
