Cuomo quickly raises money after primary

Will Bredderman reports in Crain's New York that Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, has raised $436,582 since beating actor Cynthia Nixon by 30 points in Sept. 13 primary election. Cuomo now faces Republican Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro; former Syracue Mayor Stephanie Miner, running on the Serve America Movement line; Green Party candidate Howard Hawkins; and the Libertarian Party’s Larry Sharpe; in the November 6 general election. Of the money Cuomo raised since the primary, $66,600 came from Harrison and James LeFrak, sons of Richard LeFrak and prominent real estate businessmen. Read the full story in Crain's New York.
