Kinderhook's longtime clerk announces retirement

Emilia Teasdale is reporting for The Columbia Paper the Kinderhook Town Board on December 5, accepted the retirement certification of Town Clerk Kimberly Pinkowski after 21 years of service. Pinkowski will retire at the end of the year and the board will appoint current Deputy Clerk April Pinkowski to the position. The deputy clerk is a distant relative of Kimberly Pinkowski by marriage. Clerk Pinkowski must send her request to retire to the state. Town Clerk is an elected position and will be on the ballot in November 2023. Board member Debbie Johnson said she was making the motion on Pinkowski’s retirement “with regret.” Pinkowski has served as town clerk since 2001. Read the full story in The Columbia Paper.
