Stewart's looking to expand, move

Daniel Zuckerman is reporting for Columbia-Greene Media the Stewart’s in Leeds is looking to expand, and is exploring the possibility of moving across Route 23B from its current location to do so. The move would create an opportunity for the convenience store chain to expand and improve the flow inside and outside the shop, Stewart’s Shops spokesperson Maria D’Ameila said. If the project moves forward as planned, construction would begin in 2018, she said. Greene County and the Greene County Industrial Development Agency are currently in the process of taking possession of the property located across the street from the existing store, the site of the former Quality Inn. “Stewart’s is a possibility,” IDA Executive Director Rene VanSchaack said. “A hotel and a restaurant are the absolute top priorities for us.” Read the full story at HudsonValley360 [dot] com.
