Audrey Matott is reporting in The Daily Mail the Resurrection Lutheran Church of Cairo will open a new primary school in September. The church has operated the Christian preschool, Joyful Christian, for 30 years. The plan to move ahead with the new Kindergarten through grade four program was in response to requests from parents of students already enrolled in the preschool. Resurrection Lutheran School will offer a full academic program including English Language Arts, reading, writing, math, science, social studies, physical education, art, music and possibly other electives, as well. Spiritual development is incorporated into the program with prayer, Bible lessons and chapel time. The church describes the school atmosphere as similar to a loving family environment. Open enrollment is currently underway. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
