Both Ashby and Doran would vote for a measure to ban bump stocks, which passed the Assembly and stalled in the state Senate recently. “We need to ban military-grade assault-style weapons,” Doran said. Ashby, though, also thinks citizens should be able to buy for protection from a tyrannical governments tanks and jets. “I don’t think the Second Amendment was conceived with the notion of shooting deer,” Ashby said.
