Local publisher Columbia-Greene Media announced changes to its editorial team in the Tues., Dec. 30, editions of its newspapers. The company produces the "Register Star" and "The Daily Mail," as well as six weekly publications, two magazines and a shopper. Mary Dempsey, former staff writer and editor for publications in New Jersey and Connecticut, was named managing editor of the "Register Star" and "The Daily Mail." Lori Anander, editor of the "Windham Journal," has been promoted to the role of managing editor of the company's weekly publications. A newly created editorial arts team will be managed by Phil Finkle, Columbia-Greene Media's director of composition and IT. That group now includes Susan Chasney, formerly of the Troy Record. The company also announced Kate Seckinger has been hired as the newest Daily Mail reporter. Read the full story in the Register Star.
