Patrick Tine reports in the Times Union that more than four inches of rain fell in some places locally this weekend, the third straight Saturday with soaking rains. Most areas got at least two inches of rain on Oct. 7. Knox, in southern Albany County, got 4.13 inches of rain, National Weather Service meteorologist Tom Wasula said. Albany County Executive Dan McCoy said that County Route 353 outside of Rensselaerville would stay closed for several days because a pipe there that was damaged in the storm.
