Kyle Adams reports in The Daily Mail Catskill’s five-year-old waterfront revitalization initiative is moving into a new phase as the village seeks to begin construction of the Catskill Creek Walking Loop. The “bridge to bridge” loop will connect the historic Black Bridge, West Main Street, the Uncle Sam Bridge and Water Street in a pedestrian walking loop. The idea is to highlight the creek and create a smoother connection between the waterfront and Main Street, according to planners. The walking loop is coming together in conjunction with several other waterfront projects, including a shoreline stabilization effort, Central Hudson’s brownfield remediation, and planned enhancements to Canal Street. Construction is estimated to be completed in 2014. Read the full story in The Daily Mail.
