The registration deadline for voting in the general election is Oct. 12. Mail registration must be postmarked no later than Oct. 12, and received by election officials no later than Oct. 17. Anyone honorably discharged from the U.S. military or who became a naturalized U.S. citizen after Oct. 13, may register in person at the Board of Elections up until Oct. 27. This year's election is November 6, and includes Congressional elections throughout the country, statewide races for governor, state senate, and assembly, and local contests.
