Jeff Alexander reports in The Daily Mail that Greene County legislators have a proposed 2012 budget of $99.2 million, and hold a public hearing Wed. Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Catskill High School auditorium. Alexander reports that a week later, legislators plan to vote on the proposal. Legislator Forest Cotten of Catskill is a critic of that plan. “I think the time table laid out is entirely too short and it’s a disservice to the public. I know there is a process to review it but the window is so small," he said. "It’s kind of being presented as a take it or leave approach and we owe it to them to allow the proper time for it to be reviewed."
