Clearway Energy, aka NRG, now having problems in Athens

Daniel Zuckerman reports for Columbia-Greene Media that the Athens Village Board tabled an application from a New Jersey integrated power company that recently lost its peddling permit in Coxsackie. NRG is now called Clearway Energy, NRG spokesperson Erik Linden said. But the company's application in Athens was deemed incomplete without any indication about how long it would be doing business in the village, Mayor Peter Alberti said. Last week the same company was in Coxsackie, going door-to-door without a permit. A Coxsackie police officer told Coxsackie Mayor Mark Evans NRG representatives were at a resident’s door. “Not only do they not have a permit, I don’t think we’re going to give him a permit,” Evans said.
