Television station WNYT reports that 99 immigrants arrived at the Albany County Jail June 27, coming from San Diego. Sheriff Craig Apple says most came from China, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Cameroon in Asia. "I can’t change what’s going on in this country regarding immigration. It’s well beyond appalling, but on a local level I think I can take something that’s horrible and turn it into something positive," Apple said.
