Saugerties dumper gets charged

MidHudsonNews [dot] com is reporting Joseph Karolys, the Saugerties man who was ordered to stop dumping construction debris on his property, has been charged with three violations of an Ulster County order and violation of town local laws. Karolys, 35, of 1446 Route 212, was issued an appearance ticket returnable to town court later this month. The town building department issued the citations after Saugerties Police spotted a number of tractor-trailer haulers dumping materials at 6 a.m. August 2, on Karolys’ property. The vehicles were stopped by officers, who confirmed the materials had been transported from New York City. The drivers said they left New York around 3 a.m., to bring the materials upstate to Karolys’ property. Read the full story at MidHudsonNews [dot] com.
