The Times Union is reporting Glencliff Elementary School in Rexford, Saratoga County, was closed February 5, due to an outbreak of influenza. Niskayuna Central School District officials confirmed that significant absences due to the flu prompted the decision to close. The district said it was following through on a recommendation from Saratoga County Public Health Department. This is the second time in less than a month that Niskayuna officials have closed a school in the wake of a large number of flu-related absences.
