Gasoline prices continue to fall statewide

Digital First Media is reporting average retail gasoline prices in New York have fallen nearly four cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.80 per gallon Sun., Aug. 9. This compares with the national average, which has fallen more than five cents per gallon in the last week to $2.60, according to New York State Gas Prices [dot] com. The prices per gallon cited were lower than the same day one year ago. The national average has fallen more than 16 cents per gallon during the last month, and stands nearly 88 cents per gallon lower than this day a year ago.
